special thank you to all the volunteer students, teachers,
administrators and community members who graciously gave their time and
enthusiasm to support Duxbury Schools. Thank you to William Raveis,
Coldwell Banker, Coastal Construction, Vantage Point Realty for
generously providing their phones and offices to DEF to make this event
possible.
Our annual Divots for Duxbury Golf Tournament took
place on Monday September 21st, 2009. The event was a huge success with
a near sell out and ideal weather. It was a fabulous day on the Duxbury
Yacht Club course followed by a reception at the Art Complex Museum of
Duxbury. Thanks to our generous sponsors and players we exceeded our
goal to raise $30,000 for Duxbury Schools!
The DEF raises funds by organizing community events and fundraisers. It is almost exclusively as a result of the success of these fundraising events that the DEF is able to fund innovative and educational grants that benefit our children.
