For the third year now, the Duxbury Education Foundation presented the Duxbury July 4th Road Race. The 4.25 mile course starts and ends at the Duxbury Middle School, and includes a full lap of scenic Powder Point. The race is a town tradition that we are proud to be a part of. This race features chip timing for accuracy and great prizes. For the first time in 2012, the race also included a Children’s 1-Mile Fun Run (ages 5-11) to let children experience the fun of our traditional July 4th event. Interested in Becoming a Sponsor?
There are several different ways to become a sponsor of the DEF 4th of July Road Race:
- Friends & Family race sponsorship. Can’t run this year or just want to make an additional donation in support of the run and innovative programs in Duxbury schools? Consider a Friends & Family race sponsorship for $250. Sponsors receive a complimentary race bib.
- Small Business sponsorship. Similar to the Family & Friends race sponsorship, the Small Business sponsorship allows you to make a donation in support of the race and innovative programs in Duxbury schools. Small Business sponsorship is $250.
- Corporate sponsorship. For information on becoming a corporate sponsor of this very popular local event, contact Tammy Kirk at tammyakirk@yahoo.com.
