Answer-the-Call is DEF’s largest annual fundraiser. This past spring, thanks to the generosity and support from this community, the Duxbury Education Foundation proudly presented a check for more than $77,000 to the Duxbury Public Schools to fund twenty (20) grant requests for the 2017-2018 school year.

Highlights of this year’s grants include:
-- The build out of a MakerSpace creativity center for Alden students
-- Virtual reality technology to allow DMS World History students to visit the places they study in class
-- A pilot program to help DMS/DHS students improve their grammar, mechanics, usage, and writing skills
– The purchase of virtual reality 3D paint technology for DHS
-- A library of reading materials for all language classrooms at DMS
-- Flexible and alternate seating solutions for Alden, DMS and DHS students
-- The OSMO Explorer Kit program for all Chandler special education teachers
…and so much more!

PLEASE NOTE: that volunteer high school students will be calling from various local Duxbury business phone numbers (not the school) and some of the kids may be very shy or nervous when making the call – so please keep this in mind and be kind – and thank you for answering the call!
