Honoring the Legacy of Mr. Howard Hall, DEF’s Founding President

The Duxbury Education Foundation (DEF) remembers with deep gratitude our founding President, Mr. Howard Hall. More than 35 years ago, his vision and leadership helped create the community organization, originally called The Duxbury Foundation, dedicated to enriching Duxbury’s public schools through innovation, collaboration, and a shared belief in the power of education.

Mr. Hall’s legacy continues to shape the work of DEF today. The programs, technology, and opportunities we bring to Duxbury students are a direct reflection of his original goal of making great ideas possible in every classroom. Please read more about Mr. Hall's legacy HERE.

In keeping with his lifelong commitment to education, the Hall family kindly requested that donations in his memory be directed to the Duxbury Education Foundation instead of flowers. We are deeply honored by this gesture and grateful to all who have contributed in his name. These gifts will help ensure that Mr. Hall’s spirit of learning and community lives on for generations to come.
